Elana’s work draws from nature’s wild intelligence: tide pools, currents, erosion and unpredictable rhythms. Exploring these forms softens her anxious precision and invites more fluidity. Her practice is a surrender to intuition, a way to feel more in tune with her body. As her menopausal brain prunes old patterns, she listens more deeply to what moves beneath the surface.

Elana studied fine arts at Yale University and began her career assisting a NYC-based artist. She later pivoted to fashion studying at Parsons School of Design. Elana built a 15-year career in textiles and home design. Now, she returns to art with a honed aesthetic and reverence for the unruly. Her work is a reclamation of wildness and transformation.

Elana lives with her husband and two daughters in San Francisco, her home for the past 20 years.
